Dear esther
My name is christiane schranz, I live in Vienna, Austria and at the moment I am writing my doctoral thesis about anglo-indian literature.
I was reading your article and i really liked! I was wondering if you can let me know from which of Saids works you have taken the paragraph "many of the most interesting postcolonial writers ....
I have started to write about the change in the anglo-indian literature since rushdie. He brought the magic realism to india and then the literature changed afterwards a bit to more social novels and nowadays we can already find a lot of "hollywood novels" - I mean a lot of banal and trivial novels are written in that field.
It would be great to hear your comment about that!
If you do not have time to answer, do not worry.
I send you a lot of good wishes
Best to you
christiane

Hope to see you if you come to the U.S. again.

Great genealogy page! I'm Beverly's (Fitzpatrick) 2nd daughter. My grandmother was Marie Evelyn (Lyons) Fitzpatrick. I found out a lot about my family roots that I didn't know. My brother, Dan, and I have been interested in plotting our family tree and you've saved us a lot of time! Thanks again for the wonderful work.

Hi Esther. Eardley sent me a copy of Unwanted which I read day and night until I finished it and will re-read it.
I hope you and family are well. Sad I was not able to visit you when I was in Australia in 2004. Strange you mention Victor Carver in your book and only three weeks ago he phoned me. I wish you had visited us in London on your way back to India from the USA. We would have loved to have seen you. Anyhow it is wonderful to read your book and now I must get hold of your other books.
With love to you and family from self and Lorraine.
